Irish Students Hand Out Five Try Lesson To Wales
IRISH STUDENTS 29, WELSH STUDENTS 12
Despite a superb try from 50 metres by Paul bamsey, the Welsh Students were soundly beaten by their Irish counterparts in Wicklow.
The strong, mobile home pack held the key to victory and the Irish outscored Wales by five tries to two.
The Irish led 19-7 at half-time, the Welsh points coming from a try by Dylan Pugh and converted by Ceri Sweeney, but two tries from Simon Keogh launched the confident and competent Irish side on the road to victory.
Lock Trevor Hogan had the last word for the home side as he galloped over for the fifth and final try.
Wales were at least creative behind the scrum, but they paid for not putting away the opportunities they made.
