Little Goes Large Again For Ponty As They Pip Glasgow

Glasgow’s title hopes in the Welsh/Scottish League took another dent as they lost a second successive game on Welsh soil despite outscoring their hosts by two tries to one.
Both tries came in an enterprising first-half and Cook Islands international Tommy Hayes converted both and laneded a penalty for the visitors.
Socttish centre Andy Henderson raced clear from the 22 to nothc the first try and then wing Rory kerr grabbed another on the stroke of half-time.
By then, Ponty had kept themselves in the hunt with three penalties from Fijian outside half Nicky Little, but it took a gem of a try from centre Jason Lewis five minutes after the break to give them a chance of victory.
Little added the conversion and them slotted a 30 metre penalty on the hour to give Ponty the lead for the first time.
Little’s fifth goal stretched the lead, but Hayes grabbed one back to leave the game on a knife edge.
Then, in the dying minutes, replacement outside half Ceri Sweeney kicked the home side’s sixth penalty to secure the points.
