On selecting him for the January award, former Wales Captain Gwyn Jones commented: “Gareth Wyatt is a model professional who conducts himself magnificently on and off the field of play. He is a player of immense talent who has been very unfortunate to be overlooked by the senior national selectors in recent years. Although Gareth has been one of our more consistent performers of late, his clinching try against the Saracens in the Parker Pen Shield tipped the Chwarae Teg scales in his favour for January.”
Presenting Gareth with his Fair Play award is December’s winner, Ebbw Vale and Wales A Head Coach Mike Ruddock. Both Mike and Gareth have been working hard towards a successful Six Nations Campaign by the ‘A’ side.
“We wish them both every success with this and hope that Gareth adds to his already growing compilation of tries in helping Wales to a victory” added Gwyn Jones.
