Wales Schools Give The Italian’s A Lesson

Wales Schools Under16 opened their season with an A team victory over Italy A by 16-13 in Calvisano, while the squad will play a full international tomorrow (Saturday) against Italy at the same venue. The A side followed their wins of last season over England by 18-3 and 22-16 with another solid performance and led 2-1 on the try-count.
It was 8-3 at the interval with a try by wing Darren Daniel and a penalty by fly half Aaron Hopkins, but Italy closed to 8-6 when flanker Ross Johnson crossed for a try to put Wales ahead at 13-6. Italy scored a converted try to level the scores only for Hopkins to kick the winning penalty.
