Wales Youth Reign Over Spain

Wales Youth Reign Over Spain

Wales under-18 Youth gained their first victory of the season as they beat the Spain under-19 team by 33-8 in the second of three matches that Wales are playing in a quadrangular tournament in Portugal.
After losing to the Wales Senior Schools by 24-0 in a non-cap match last month, Wales opened the tournament with a shock 25-15 loss to Italy, but the Italian side surprisingly lost their next match to Portugal by 29-27.
Despite conceding a year in age, Wales ran in six tries against Spain through wing Andrew Kingdom (2), scrum half James Ireland, prop Lee Fender, wing Dan Hitchings and new full back Leon Andrews (Penarth). Fly half Tomas Marks added a penalty. Wales now meet the Portugal under-19 side on Sunday at Coimbra with Italy taking on Spain.
