Six Nations Top Scorers
The top scorer table in this seasons Lloyds TSB Six Nations championship is once again dominated by kickers. Currently top is Gerald Merercon. He now has 64 points after notching another seven against Scotland last week.
England’s hero Jonny Wilkinson is the man on the move, his 30 points against Wales has seen him leap-frog Irish kicker David Humphreys, who now has 56 points following four successful penalties in the 32-17 victory over Italy.
The back spasm that kept Stephen Jones’s out of last weekends Six Nations clash with England, has meant the Llanelli star has fallen further behind in the race to be this seasons top scorer. He remains on 47 points, and lies in fourth place- just one point ahead of Scottish marksman Brendan Laney. Italy’s Argentinean born Diego Dominguez bagged two conversions in the defeat to Ireland He has now scored 950 International points from 71 games- 28 in this season’s championship.
