Ponty Name Squad To Face Neath

Dual Cup finalists Pontypridd return to league action tonight as they prepare to tackle in form Neath. The valley commandos have kept faith with the side that defeated London Irish 33-27 in the PARKER PEN SHEILD semi-final at the Kassam Stadium Oxford last weekend.
“Everybody is really up for this, we’ve got huge week again coming up. Our next game is Neath and it’s going to be a big test with two teams hitting form at the right time. Then we’ve got Newport on Wednesday, and a tricky tie against Edinburgh, and then it’s a massive week for the club then the two cup finals,” said a club spokesman.
The valley commandos have a number of minor injury worries, the centre pairing of Sonny Parker and Jon Bryant are suffering with knee and ankle problems respectively.
“Micheal Owen is struggling with an elbow injury- but apart from the usual aches and pains following a big match, everybody is fine,” added the spokesman.
Neath Scrum half Andy Moore is looking forward to the battle saying,
“We know Ponty are going to be a tough challenge, they have a good strong pack and are in fantastic form- it’s not going to be easy.”
