Llanelli Thank Swansea For Helping Hand

Llanelli are one victory away from the Welsh/Scottish league title and
it’s the auld enemy Swansea they must thank, according to team manager Anthony
Buchanan.
Swansea shattered Neath’s championship hopes last weekend and that put Llanelli back in the title race.
Now they must beat Cardiff at the
Arms Park tonight to fend off nearest challengers Newport and seal the championship.
“Last weekend we thought we were out of it,” said Buchanan.
“Tomorrow is a huge opportunity which we owe to Swansea. It’s now up to
us, our destiny is in our own hands and we realise the job we have to do.”
Llanelli are in the race for two trophies with a Principality Cup final
against Pontypridd looming at the end of the month, but Buchanan still has
his feet firmly on the ground.
“It’s a big week coming up playing for the championship and the cup. The boys are focussed and everyone in the club is confident but realistically we haven’t been as successful as Cardiff over recent years.
“If we want to lift the title we’ve got to be at our best.”
