Division One Preview

Pooler have a three point advantage but have secured five less tries than their visitors so a Carmarthen win would see a change at the top of the table.

Aberavon, Llandovery and Newbridge have all gained 24 points, three less than Carmarthen.

Aberavon play host to bottom club Treorchy and will be looking to boost their tries tally against the Zebras who have only won one of their 11 league games to date.

Llandovery and Newbridge meet at Church Bank where the Drovers will be hoping that home advantage will be enough to beat a Newbridge outfit unbeaten in their last five league outings.

There is a relegation battle at Tredegar where the home side will be looking To put some daylight between them and the other clubs struggling in the basement. They entertain Rumney who have lost all six away matches so far this season and who are desperate for points.

Whitland found it hard going last season until a late run eased them to a creditable final position. They have started well this season and Bonymaen will be hard-pressed to gain anything from their trip to Carmarthenshire.

Blackwood have been very inconsistent so far this term, only once managing two wins in succession. They have been beaten in their last three games but may be able to stop that trend at Pandy Park where they take on home club Tondu. The Waterwheelers are not having the best of times with four wins from 12 outings but this one could go either way.

Narberth started their first season in Division One in sparkling fashion with four straight victories but they have struggled ever since, recording just one win from their last six matches. They travel to Cross Keys where the home side are also in a bit of a slump after only one victory, at home to Glamorgan Wanderers, from six outings.

Bedwas have a better away record than at their own Bridge Field but they will expect to beat visitors Llanharan who have lost their last four away matches.

Glamorgan Wanderers will try and steal a march on the other sides in the division by grabbing the points tonight at the Memorial Ground when they take on lowly Beddau.
