Wales Women Announce Squad To Face Scotland

There have been five changes to the squad as Wales Women travel to Edinburgh this weekend looking for their second win of their Six Nations campaign. They opened with an impressive win against Spain, 34-0, at the beginning of February but lost to England a fortnight ago.

Ayla Rose gets her first start in the second row and Naomi Thomas ventures back to her Under-19 position on the wing as Awen Thomas returns to fly half. Claire Flowers gets the inside centre position with Rhian Williams changing to outside with Louise Rickard, who received her 60th Cap against England, on the bench.

Llandaff North centre Lowena Sandercock will be looking for her first cap as she starts on the bench after being called back into the squad from the A team.

Scotland have won both their games with a good win over Ireland and narrowly beating the French two weeks ago in Paris. Current champions France are still looking for their first victory as they travel to Ireland this weekend. The Spanish are currently bottom of the table having not scored a point in the competition. They have the unenviable task of England away on Sunday.
