‘We are determined to put things right after a disappointing performance at the Arms Park a few weeks ago,” said Jones.

League leaders Neath are without captain Gareth Llewellyn who is in the Wales RBS Sic Nations camp, and are unable to select seven players because of injury.

Nathan Bonner-Evans has now had his hip operation but is expected to be out of action for four months. Hywel Jenkins has recovered well from his shoulder injury and will be available for selection from the start of April.

Barry Williams is recovering on schedule from his fractured cheekbone, and should be playing by the start of May

Prop Duncan Jones is rated as 50:50 for the Principality Cup quarter final match on April 5 against Llanelli, as his knee ligament injury has proved worse than was first thought.

Brett Sinkinson has now had a scan on his achilles, and it is

anticipated that he should be back in action within a few weeks

Steve Jones suffered a neck muscle problem against Cardiff, and needs a few more days to ensure a full recovery

Lee Jarvis has a shoulder injury and will be out of action for three or four weeks.
