The Llanelli man said: ‘We have got to go to Paris now and show some consistency. We have to stick together, work on the areas where we were poor against Ireland and go to France with some confidence.
‘We played well, a lot better than a lot of people expected, but at the end of the day it is another loss in a game we could and should have won.’
But Thomas was still upset to lose the match in such extreme circumstances.
‘We were very unlucky and it is extremely disappointing not to have won.

‘It was always going to be fair old battle there and I would like to think we came out on top, we put a lot of pressure on them,’ added Thomas.
