Having beaten Spain and Ireland comfortably and lost by just a point (9-8) to Scotland, all three games without conceding a try, Wales have every right to be confident against the French.

Both Wales and France are competing for third spot with runaway leaders England having already secured the title and Scotland favourites for second place.

The team shows just one change with Louise Rickard replacing Lowena Sandercock on the left wing. On the replacements bench, Claire Horgan, Nicola John and Lowri Jones step up following impressive displays for the Development XV in their victory over England last Sunday.

The Wales Development Squad also travel to France to play France ‘A’ on Saturday morning at Gargenville Stadium, KO 11am.

With a 100% record this season, Wales will be looking to make it three wins from three. Prop Jenny Davies, winger Lowena Sandercock and hooker Dominique Atwood all step down from the seniors to gain some valuable game time at international level.

New faces given an opportunity this weekend include UWIC’s Sam Mason, Blaenau Gwent’s Mandy Davies and Pontyclun’s Emma Nelson.
