Zoe, a current member of the Welsh Devlopment XV, will be solely responsible for overseeing the induction of the modern apprenticeship scheme to Wales’ elite female rugby players.
She will see these players through their NVQ levels two and three ensuring they become the best possible players on the pitch and the best possible people off it.
Working alongside both the National Accreditation Centre and the WWRU, Zoe will ensure these players meet the guidelines laid down by ELWA to allow the project to run in to year two and beyond.
Players will be selected to join the scheme in the next month.
Zoe said: ‘It is an exciting challenge and one I’m really looking forward to. Women and Girls rugby is certainly growing in Wales and I know I have a huge task in ensuring the elite players are given the best possible opportunity to be the best they can be.’
Richard Hodges added ‘ We are delighted with Zoe’s appointment. She can lead our players to new levels through a holistic approach to rugby and I look forward to seeing the results of her work.’
