Wales Schools Make Changes

Wales Senior Schools make eight changes, two positional, from the side that lost 19-5 to France at Marmande two months ago, when they meet England at Ebbw Vale on Saturday.

Wales, who earlier lost 13-11 to Scotland at Neath, expect a particularly hard match, as England gained a 22-20 win over France in Coventry last week – their first win over France for six years.

The schools warmed up with a match against Wales Youth at Neath on March 26, which they lost 20-19.

Back-row forward Adam Whitney of Brynteg CS, a former under-16 cap, made his schools debut against Scotland under-19’s in Edinburgh two years ago and will have the captaincy of the side.

Prop Alun Wyn Davies, scrum half Dan Walsh, hooker Dan George and flanker Alex Murphy make their first starts, though Murphy appeared against Wales Youth, in what was a non-cap match.
