The former Wales Under-21 second-row spent four years at Rodney Parade but will now look to clinch a hat-trick of victories for the Ravens over Newport this season.
Bridgend, the only side in the Welsh Premiership with a 100 per cent record, have already beaten the Black and Ambers in both the domestic and Celtic League.
“I’m looking forward to going head to head with a few old faces and it will be nice to get one up them,” said Newport-born Jones.
“I missed the last two victories over them so I’m desperate to get involved in another.”
