Division 1 leaders Aberavon moved relentlessly on with a 67-3 win at Treorchy and ran in nine tries against the bottom club, including three by full back Ricky Price. Their nearest rivals, Pontypool, looked well clear at Carmarthen until scrum half Kevin Ellis was dismissed for stamping and Giles Thomas inspired a Quins comeback to win 31-29.
Bedwas raced ahead at Llanharan and just held off a home revival to win 30-22, while Tondu were in a similar position at Blackwood, until they conceded two late tries, yet still won 22-20.
Beddau had a rare win, beating out-of-form Glamorgan Wanderers by 24-16 and Bonymaen also fell badly, losing 20-5 at Parc Mawr against Whitland.
Two tries by wing Dan Gravelle gave Narberth a 16-11 victory over Cross Keys, while there was a splendid away win for Llandovery, by 55-18 at Newbridge in an 8-2 try-count and Tredegar won 24-13 at Riverside Park against Rumney.

Second-placed Carmarthen Athletic ran riot to beat Merthyr by 57-7 after leading 23-0 at the interval and scored seven tries in the process.
Penygraig and Ystrad Rhondda are still fighting out the leadership of 3 East after both won again, but Ystrad, though three points behind their opponents, scored 11 tries to Penygraig’s five.
Ystrad pounded Abergavenny 64-0 with Anthony Jones grabbing a hat-trick, while Penygraig won 34-23 away to Bridgend Athletic with Adrian Lewis grabbing three tries.
Brecon kept their leadership of 4 East with a 35-12 win at Abercarn as Clarke Thomas goaled all five tries, while Gilfach Goch pulled off a surprise 25-9 win over Rhydyfelin with Ryan Jones almost going through the card with a conversion of a penalty try, five penalties and a drop goal.
In 6 East Bargoed won 45-10 over RTB and Fairwater beat Bedlinog 41-17 at the top of the table and
7 East saw Bettws flat out in beating Machen 39-12 with seven tries and Llandaff won 22-0 at Canton.
There was a shock for 3 est leaders Felinfoel, who fell 28-22 against Waunarlwydd. though they are still ahead of Cwmllynfell, who succeeded by 29-15 at Trimsaran.
Pontyberem gained an important win over Bryncoch by 17-10 in 4 West and that enabled Maesteg Quins to jump into second place after defeating Tumble by 56-33.
The 5 West leadership still stands with Llandeilo, though they lost 21-15 away to second-placed Hendy and in 6 West Cwmgors stay in front after a 44-31 win at Penygroes, while Pontyates stay ahead of Cefneithin in 7 West after both clubs won well.
Bala finished their season and celebrated taking the 6 North title after hammering Bangor 104-5, but in 5 North it is neck and neck between Nant Conwy and Llangefni, who beat Newtown and Caernarfon respectively.
Nantymoel’s magnificent 18-month unbeaten league record fell by 14-10 at Taffs Well in 5 Central to the Williams family – though not the most famous local family of Bleddyn Williams and his brothers! This time it was Paul Williams (ex-Neath and Newbridge) and his son who played big parts. Worse news for Nantymoel was that Banwen lead the division after just beating Nantyffyllon by 25-21.
Abercwmboi became the first South Wales club to clinch a title after smashing Briton Ferry by 47-5 in 6 Central and Aberdare had a good 25-3 success against Alltwen.
In 7 Central, leaders Cwmgwrach were given a shock before beating Gwernyfed by only 8-3 and require just one more point to clinch that title.
