Ponytpool outside-half Byron Hayward joins the Gwent side on loan, and will link up with Mark Meenan at full-back, and Nick Wakeley, Rhys Shorney, Paul Matthews and Andrew Bevan as the threequarters.

Pontypridd select Gareth Wyatt at full-back, while Ceri Sweeney and Gareth Baber return at half-back.

In the forwards Dale McIntosh is picked in the second-row with Robert Sidoli, while in the back-row Academy Under-21 No 8 Lee Beach and flanker Mark Lewis are chosen alongside Wayne O’Connor.

Wing Richard Fussell, another Under-21 Academy player, makes his debut.
