Sailor In Doubt
Wales may be spared the prospect of facing giant Wallaby Wendell Sailor after the wing was forced out of the game against Ireland early with a rib injury.
The former rugby league star went off after an hour of Saturday’s success and the Wallaby management insisted he will not be risked against Wales if he is not fully fit.
However another former rugby league star Matt Rogers came though his comeback game from injury for club side Southern Districts over the weekend and is expected to be back in the frame for the Sydney clash.
Meanwhile, Test veteran Matt Burke was also set to join the Australia squad today after sitting out the Ireland game with a knee injury.
The 68-times capped full-back, who has scored 833 points in Test rugby, has been troubled by a medial ligaments problem but will be given his chance this week to prove his fitness in time for Saturday.
