‘We applaud the Uplands for showing up and behaving so well,’ said Glyncorrwg team manager Alan Watkins. ‘Their heads never went down, but bring any opponents on for us, as we will take some beating at home and our fly half Gareth Goodridge led the way with to tries and eight conversions.’

Tonyrefail had a wonderful match against lively Cardiff Medicals and won a thriller 42-40, scoring six tries, while Pontyerem had a notable 15-0 win at Ystrad Rhondda and LLandaff North slammed a woeful Ystradgynlais 95-0.

Dunvant are back in the fine form that saw them a Premier club a few years ago and they met Abercwmboi for the first-ever occasion and won 67-17. ‘It was a good match and Abercwmboi scored three tries,’ said Dunvant team manager Peter Thomas.
‘We are going well though and scored ten tries with Paul Morris having another splendid game on the flank and young Gary Rombach on the wing scored two tries.
It was a good game and Paul Jones scored two in the first-half for Aber, but Rhys Williams kicked well and converted seven of our tries after opening with a penalty.’
