A staggering 90% of people rated Wales as 8 or more out of 10 for their breathtaking display against the mighty All Blacks.
Compared to last week’s results, when 75% of voters rated Wales’ performance as only 6 or higher against Italy, it shows that Welsh supporters believe their team are solidly improving game after game.
The heroics against New Zealand has evidently rekindled belief in the fans, so much so that the old enemy – England – now hold little fear for our supporters, including Edward Allford who sees them as “there for the beating”, and Dai Davies – a Welsh man living in England – who now feels that “nothing would make me happier than to see them fly home with their tails between their legs!”
Yannick Sanquer was reminded of the great Welsh teams who used to beat his home country of France in his youth, with Mike Thomas from Germany agreeing that the boys need to show that they are “back on top in World Rugby” and Nick Parry-Jones requesting “more of the same wit and grit this Sunday please”
Such was the effect of our boys’ game, we have even received a number of emails from English followers such as Steve, who felt Wales produced “quality and entertaining rugby to be proud of”.
It seems Welsh fans truly believe if the team attack the English in the same way they matched the All Blacks, we could see the team through to the World Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1987.
