Brynithel’s 26-14 win over Senghenydd took them clear at the top of the East after Llanishen had their away match to Newport Saracens called off. Cwmbran took their chance for a top four place by defeating Llanhilleth 29-11.

There was a huge shock in the West as Kidwelly’s14-0 loss away to Lampeter was their first this season and they are joined on 33 points by Haverfordwest, who have a game in hand after beating Gorseinon 30-22.

In the South-East, leaders Treherbert had their match against Taffs Well called off, with both Mountain Ash and Nelson recording good victories, particularly Nelson, who beat Ynysybwl 16-13.

Banwen regained the lead of the South-West with 16-8 success against Bryncoch and with Maesteg Quins not playing, Nantyffyllon moved to third after defeating Glynneath 27-10.

Division 4.

With no fixtures in the East, Bargoed remained five points ahead at the top, while Ruthin extended their lead to six points in the North after defeating Caernarfon 60-8 and finding that Nant Conwy’s match was called off.

Leaders Loughor did not play in the West, where Pembroke Dock Quins made ground with a 40-14 win away to Milford Haven. In the South-West there was a top-of-the-table clash that saw Alltwen defeat Taibach 26-8 and take over by one point with a match in hand.

Division 5.

Cefneith are six points ahead in the West after winning 50-6 away to St David’s though Crymych were 49-9 winners at Llanybydder. Llandaff are also clear leaders – by five points in the South-East – after a 27-7 success away to Deri.

In the North, Colwyn Bay suffered their first loss, by 15-0 at Bethesda and Denbigh, who have played two game more, are six points ahead after winning 20-3 at Machynlleth.

Resolven lead the South-West and won 35-33 at Tonna, but the Aberavon Green Stars 49-0 win at Porthcawl was ficticous, as the match was not played! Trinant won 18-5 at Blaenavon to lead in the East.
