Wales Under 19’s News

Wales Under-19 selectors had decided to use all their squad in their opening two fixtures and after defeating Italy by 38-0 at Ebbw Vale last month, they make nine changes from that starting lineup when they take on Scotland at Aberavon on Thursday, February 12 (7.00pm).

Only prop Nathan Trevett, hooker Duane Goodfield, locks Alun Wyn Jones and Dominic Day and back row forwards Rhys Shellard and Tom Smith will start again, though four others who came on as replacements against Italy, will now begin the match.

Goodfield, who has already played in the Premier Division with Pontypridd’s senior side, will lead and among the new faces are Aled Brew, younger brother of Wales senior cap Nathan Brew, and Tom Cheesemen, whose father, Trevor, played many times for Swansea.
