Barry Davies called into Wales Squad

Llanelli Scarlets full-back Barry Davies has been called into the Wales Squad preparing for this weekend’s RBS Six Nations clash with Ireland, to
cover injuries to Garan Evans and Hal Luscombe.

The uncapped Davies comes in to cover his regional colleague who has been sidelined this week in order to rest a pelvic injury and for the Dragons’ Hal Luscombe, who damaged his knee last Friday.

“Barry has performed well at regional level for the Scarlets this season, in fact, as so many have told me he has been a bit unlucky not to have made the team from the start,” said Wales Coach, Steve Hansen.

“I’m sure that he will fit in very quickly and we will enjoy having him amongst us.”
