Dolgellau full back Elen Evans opened the scoring in the first minute scoring out wide after England failed to gather the kick off. As the half wore on Wales dominated up front with the scrum and lineout having an edge on their opponents.
Hooker Jenny Davies added two further tries, one in each half, as Wales opened up a lead before impressive England winger Clare Davies scored a consolation. With 7 of this team still under 19, this game was a real step up for this squad and they played with real passion and pride against a physical England squad.
