Wales conceded eleven tries in the Students’ international played at UWIC in Cardiff with French full back Jean-Baptiste Gobelet running in a hat-trick of tries and the Biarritz lad looks to be a certain full cap in the next 12 months.
Wales gained their only points came from a first-half penalty kicked by UWIC’s Gareth Morgan, but by then France had scored three tries and led 17-3 at the interval.
Wales were totally outplayed, by their young, fast opponents, but will have another outing on Friday, March 19, when coaches Jonathan Dodd and John Morgan will try to produce a side to defeat England at the Clifton RFC ground.
