Player: Wales U16 (Captain vs England 1975), Wales Youth final trialist, Blaina, Tredegar, Swansea (119 appearances, 43 tries), Wales B (1982).

Peak as Player: Back-row forward in Swansea’s Welsh Cup Final Team, runner-up 1983.

First occupation: Electricity linesman (fractured skull when knocked down from pole, also compressed three vertebrae in back and damaged an organ of balance in one ear, that ended his career as a player in 1985).

Coaching: Blaina, Cross Keys, Bective Rangers, Swansea (1991, moving after two years to Director of Coaching, until 1997), Leinster (Director of Coaching 1997-2000), Ireland A, Ebbw Vale (2000-2003), Gwent Dragons (2003-2004).
