Brother Matt, a Rugby World Cup winner with the Wallabies in 1999 and wannabe last year has something in common with his younger brother, recent heartbreaking defeats to Sir Clive Woodward’s side.
Now, naturalised Welshman Brent, who qualified to play through residency plans to storm fortress Twickenham.
“We will have to go in there flying on Saturday,” he said. “England lost last time out, so they are going to come out flying.”
Brent, ever the sportsman, is playing down the visitors chances, in public at least: “England have got to be favourites in this game. They have a good well-drilled set of forwards, they are at home and they are going to be tough opponents.
“Ireland produced a sensational performance against them in the line-out. They put England under pressure, and we saw a few cracks there.
“Those cracks might not be as evident this week, but if they are, then we’ve got to make the most of it.”
If Wales can register their first win at Twickenham for sixteen years, it will be the first time that England have lost back-to-back matches at Twickenham for twenty years. A tough call, but not mission impossible.
