Jason Williams, the highest-ever points-scorer in Welsh league rugby, threw a spanner in the Llanharan works, ending their unbeaten 21-match run and making sure the title race goes down to the last match of the season.

Gareth Hopkins crossed for Beddau and Rhys Jenkins placed two penalties.

Tredegar gained their second win in four days as they defeated Tondu 46-14 with skipper Stuart Jarman scoring two tries and Gareth Kearney kicking 16 points. Carmarthen Athletic ran in nine tries in a 59-15 victory at Treorchy where Julian Howells converted seven. Zebras tries came from flankers Ben Hughes and John Thomas.
