Sidoli Set To Put Debut On Hold

Robert Sidoli is set to put his Cardiff debut on hold as he battles back from a pelvic problem.
Cardiff Blues’ new signing is likely to miss the start of the Celtic League – which kicks off in less than two weeks’ time – after undergoing surgery in May.
The exploratory operation revealed a major muscle tear in his groin dating back from the World Cup that forced him to miss most of the Six Nations and summer tour.
But he insists the rest will see him come back stronger than ever when he does take the field.
“I’m pretty confident that the operation has finally sorted out the problem and will mean that I can train properly for a big season,” said the 2*-year-old.
“I’m seeing a specialist next week to see when I can start playing, but I’m already feeling better.
“I probably should have had the operation a lot earlier but there never seemed a good time. At least it’s been sorted out now.”
Cardiff have already lost Nathan Budgett, another capture from the Celtic Warriors, for six weeks after injuring his neck in last weeks’ friendly against Worcester.
