Every club in the West has now lost at least one match after Fishguard fell 22-14 at home to Laugharne and these two clubs are level on points with Neyland, Cefneithin and Amman Utd. The latter gained a 99-0 win at home to bottom club Betws.

Fairwater ended Penarth’s good run in the South-East with a crushing 34-14 victory and kept their unbeaten tag, as did Aberdare, who won 26-13 at Taffs Well.

Resolven drove onwards in the South-West as they beat Ystradgynlais 45-17 and contrary to some reports, Briton Ferry were winners, not losers, at Pyle by 34-20.

Crumlin alone have a 100 per cent record in the East after beating Oakdale 28-16, while in the Old Boys clash at Newport, they and Cardiff shared 58 points and Pontllanfraith had a splendid 55-21 win over St Peter’s.

Only Mold remain unbeaten in the North, having defeated Llandudno 32-10, while Llangefni are on top by two points after winning 26-13 at Denbigh.
