The new WRU Internet service provider is on sale to the public and costs less than competitors at just £12.99 per month for unmetered internet access, including five WRU branded email addresses and 20mb of web space, and the Wales coach was the first to sign up.
Fans can sign up to email addresses under the format ‘name’@wruinternet.net and have similar addresses to the coach or their favourite Wales stars.
‘It’s an exciting time for Welsh rugby with a lot of competition for places. There’s always a lot of debate regarding selection and team performance and so I’m looking forward to some interesting questions,’ said Ruddock. ‘With 20 years coaching and selection experience under my belt, I will always call things as I see them, but I’m sure there will be a few enlightening comments for the great and the good out there and I am very much looking forward to going through them.’
Joe Davies, Project Manager of European Telecom, the company behind the new service open to Welsh fans said, “www.wruinternet.net was set up to offer Welsh supporters a service where they can feel part of the action with branded e-mail addresses and the knowledge that the proceeds are being used to help fund the expansion of Welsh rugby.
“With our expertise in the communication field we are able to provide the best technical services and support to meet this fast growing sector. We predict around 5000 users to sign up within the first few months of the launch’.
