With Byron Hayward having been loaned to Sale Sharks, Ebbw Vale again found inspiration in newly-signed Jason Williams, but found Neath just too strong and a try by replacement Hywel Jenkins helped take the Welsh All-Blacks to a 22-13 win.

Newport needed a try by flanker Paul Williams two minutes from time to gain a fine 22-20 win at Swansea, where the home side fell to defeat for the first time in 16 matches.


Aberavon full back Liam Gadd ran in a try hat-trick at Bedwas on a 30-11 win and his first touchdown came after just 16 seconds of play. Jason Pocock helped inspire Pontypridd to a 45-9 win over Llanharan as Richard Fussell and Rhys Shellard both grabbed a brace of tries.

Cross Keys gained a good 23-21 win at Bridgend with tries by forwards Rhys Peebles and Craig Gould and Pontypool recovered from a half-time deficit to out do Caerphilly 30-24 with 15 points from Jonathan Williams.


Llanelli found inspiration from fly half Ceiron Thomas, who scored 21 points, as they ran out 31-14 winners at Newbridge.
