“It is vital that we put our Celtic League campaign back on track against Edinburgh on Friday night and our 100% home record needs to be maintained if we are to remain in contention for the league title,” commented coach Chris Anderson. “We have faced Edinburgh once already this season and we know a bit about them and what to expect.
“However, we cannot approach the game with any complacency otherwise we will come unstuck. We may have beaten them once but that was in the Heineken Cup and this is the league, we have to beat them again.
“Edinburgh will be fired up and will throw everything at us but we are determined to maintain our challenge at the top of the league and keep the pressure on the Ospreys.”
Vice Captain Gareth Baber commented, “Our last match against Edinburgh was an extremely tough game and it is important we win on Friday night to get our Celtic League campaign back to winning ways.
“We have learnt important lessons from last week and it is up to the players selected now to put their hand up and be counted.”
Meanwhile the Dragons have launched a special ticket initiative for Friday’s match, a 999 Services night. Any member of the Fire Brigade, Police, Ambulance, Doctors or Nurses showing photo ID for verification will be eligible for a free terrace ticket.
Tickets are available from the Club Ticket Office Tel: 01633 670 690.
