BLUES RING THE CHANGES

BLUES RING THE CHANGES

The Blues have made nine changes, three positional, for Friday’s Celtic League game in Netherdale. Fereti Tuilagi, Tristan Davies and James Malpas all come in, plus an all-new front row of Andrew Lewis, Rhys Thomas and Martin Jones.

Lee Thomas (fly-half), Nathan Budgett (lock) and Nathan Thomas (blind-side) all make positional changes. Left wing Craig Morgan continues as captain in the absence of Martyn Williams and Craig Quinnell.

“We are still handicapped by several injuries in our selection options, including Craig Quinnell,” said assistant coach Geraint John. “However, players like James Malpas and Matthew Nutthall have been itching to have an opportunity at this level and this is their chance to make an impact.

“The other good news is that Ryan Powell and Tristan Davies reported no ill-effects after their comeback match last week so, fingers-crossed, they will have no more setbacks.”
