Rhymney skipper Mike Roberts gained three more tries as they hammered Senghenydd 45-0 in the East to move to second place, behind runaway leaders Bargoed, who kept their unbeaten tag with a 47-0 win at Talywain.
Gorseinon just stay ahead in the West after they won 6-5 at Llandeilo and Loughor took a 5-3 victory at Penclawdd, while Bryncoch edged out Kenfig Hill in the South-West by 20-3 and remain three points ahead of Maesteg Quins and Vardre.
Division Four
Amman Utd stay on top in the West after a 27-10 success at Fishguard, though wins for Neyland and Cefneithin leave those clubs just three points adrift.
Despite a 11-6 home loss to Pontllanfraith, Monmouth head the East, but now are just three points in front of Crumlin, Chepstow, Tredegar Ironsides, Pontllanfraith and Trinant.
Fairwater and Aberdare remained unbeaten in the South-East after a penalty try helped Aberdare win 13-3 at Dowlais and Fairwater defeated a game Cowbridge side by 18-3.
Tonna pulled off a huge upset by winning 12-9 at Resolven in the South-West, though Resolven are six points in front, but have played two more matches than their opponents.
Colwyn Bay took the lead in the North after winning 15-10 at Llandudno and Llangefni’s game at Pwllheli was called off
Division Five
Leading North pair Bala and Bethesda both gained home wins with Bala defeating Welshpool 41-0 and Bethesda running up a 60-5 win over Llanidloes.
Abertillery BG have gone to third spot in the East after holding off Usk 26-17 despite all the losers’ points coming from Emlyn Jones with two tries, two conversions and a penalty. Ahead of them, Nantyglo pushed Machen to fourth spot with a 40-6 scoreline and St Alban’s won a derby battle at St Joseph’s by 30-10.
In the West, Pembroke remained unbeaten by turning back Penygroes 37-5 for a ninth successive victory and the shock result saw St Clears win 18-15 over Aberaeron.
Penallta went to Canton in the South-East and won by 137-0, yet the winners are only in fifth spot and Cefn Coed’s splendid 10-3 victory over Porth leave both clubs on seven wins with Cilfynydd and South Wales Police, though the latter’s match against Bridgend Sports will be played tonight under the Waterton Cross lights.
Another club in trouble are Llanybydder, who failed seven times last season and had only ten men for their scheduled match at St David’s in the West.
The leading clubs in the South-West are Crynant, Abercrave, Birchgrove and Glyncorrwg – all with 24 points. They all gained victories with only Abercrave having played at home.
