LLOYDS TSB LEAGUES PREVIEWS (DIVISIONS 1,2)
Division One
Leaders Maesteg hope to recover their form in the visit to Beddau, but are likely to find that the home side are one of the best in the division with fly half and coach Brett Davey inspiring them.
Even a second successive loss would still leave Maesteg in front however, with Glamorgan Wanderers and Llangennech six points adrift, though both look to have comfortable home games against Tonmawr and Brynmawr respectively.
Pick of the other games is likely to be at windy Parc Mawr, where improving Bonymaen will take on a UWIC outfit who will be without the Carmarthen Quins halves Aled Thomas and Wayne Evans. Narberth will take encouragement from last Saturday’s win over Maesteg as they travel to Builth Wells; Carmarthen Athletic go to out-of-form Fleur de Lys and Whitland in fifth place meet Blackwood at
Parc Llwyn Ty Gwyn.
Division Two.
Two former players, Emyr Lewis and Jason Hyatt, will clash in the top match of the West as they coach Felinfoel and leaders Waunarlwydd respectively, but just as important an encounter will be between Dunvant and Banwen at Broadacre and second-placed Cwmllynfell are the visitors at Pontyberem.
In the East, new leaders Ystrad Rhondda go to Tredegar with a three-point lead over four chasing clubs, who include two of them – Treherbert and Nerwport Saracens – who meet up at Tynewydd Park.
