SCOTT QUINNELL AND ROB HOWLEY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD

The Millennium Stadium is set to announce yet another major coup with the news that Wales and Lions greats Rob Howley and Scott Quinnell will head up a star-studded British and Irish line-up against a World XV next June.

Legends of rugby Mick Galwey, Bryan Redpath, Jim Williams, Raphael Ibanez, Craig Dowd and Trevor Leota are just a few of the 40-strong party who have already pledged their support to the pair and there are set to be guest appearances from all-time rugby greats such as Will Carling and Ieuan Evans.

The game, which will be the next in the Stadium’s Tribute to Legends Series, follows on from the success of Neil Jenkins and Jason Leonard’s ‘Battle of the Centurions’ last June. It is set to be a carnival of rugby, and will include junior matches involving former clubs of the former Wales captains.
