A scan on his shoulder has revealed damage to a muscle and he will undergo intensive treatment with a view to returning to action early in the new year. Simpson-Daniel had only just returned from a month long break with a hamstring injury.
“It’s disappointing for James, us and the fans, but we’ve got to get on with things.
