SIMPSON-DANIEL OUT OF BLUES CLASH

SIMPSON-DANIEL OUT OF BLUES CLASH

The 22-year-old wing is likely to be sidelined for up to four weeks after damanging his left shoulder against the Blues in last weekend’s Pool 6 match at Kingsholm. He was replaced at half-time in his side’s 23-19 victory.

A scan on his shoulder has revealed damage to a muscle and he will undergo intensive treatment with a view to returning to action early in the new year. Simpson-Daniel had only just returned from a month long break with a hamstring injury.

“It’s disappointing for James, us and the fans, but we’ve got to get on with things. There’s no point in thinking about what ifs and what could be, we’ve got a vital game against Cardiff Blues at the weekend, and all our focus has to go into that,” Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Melville explained on the official Gloucester Rugby Club website http://www.gloucesterrugbyclub.com/.
