Bridgend gained their ninth successive win – seven in the league and two in the cup – as theywon 12-6 at the Talbot Athletic Ground against Aberavon, for whom it was a fifth successive league loss.
After fly half Jamie Davies had put the Wizards ahead with a penalty, Bridgend scored tries by centre Ryan Howells and scrum half Ricky Griffiths, the first being converted by fly half Gareth David. Davies kicked a penalty for Aberavon in the final minute of the half and a stalemate after the interval saw no further points forthcoming.
 
Division 1
Llangennech went over Maesteg to the top of the table by thrashing bottom club Brynmawr 90-0 in which 14 tries were gained. Fly half Mark Jones led the way with two tries and ten conversions for a 30-point haul, while wing Kevin Jones ran in a try hat-trick. Other touchdowns came from Brad Kierstad (2), Simon Peters (2), Iestyn Evans (2), Mark Bowen, Geraint Beynon and Mike Jones.
