Martyn Williams, who was originally a doubt to start against the Rugby World Champions due to a neck injury, came through the match with no problems to his neck, but has picked up a knock to his knee. The flanker, who won his fiftieth cap in the 11-9 victory, is not currently in full training and his progress will be monitored until further advice is obtained after investigation into the injury.

Ryan Jones has been ruled out of the trip to Italy with the shoulder injury he picked when he came on at No.8 as a second half replacement for Dafydd Jones on Saturday.

Colin Charvis’s foot problem was reviewed today and he will wear a weight bearing cast for the next two weeks. The cast is removable so he can continue his rehabilitation work and his position will be reviewed in a fortnight. He is likely to be in contention for selection for Wales’s final RBS Six Nations 2005 match against Ireland in Cardiff.

Sonny Parker had a scan on his neck and will undergo further assessment tomorrow (Wednesday). He will continue his treatment programme this week in Cardiff and will not travel to Italy.

Duncan Jones will resume normal activities in the next couple of days, after a broken thumb ruled him out of last Saturday’s match, and he is on course to be back in consideration to face France.
