Wales held to a draw by Spain
Spain dominated from the outset and demanded a physical forward-centred game. They were rewarded in the 3rd minute when Mariola Vila Torrents crossed for an uncoverted try. The home side continued to take the game to Wales with wing Agurtzaen Obregozo Bereau adding a further five points.
Wales ran out after the break in a rejuvinated fashion and turned the game their way. Awen Thomas capitalised on a penalty decision, to put Wales´ first 3 points on the board in the 46th minute. 10 minutes later, Centre Louise Rickard released Elen Evans to run in from distance, beating four tacklers in the process. Awen Thomas converted to bring the score level.
Neither side was able to claim the 3 points in the remaining 25 minutes.
