Friday night saw Newport Gwent Dragons get back on the rails with a slender 13-11 victory over Ulster, whilst Connacht went down 11-18 to the Llanelli Scarlets in another close game at Athlone.

On Saturday, Neath-Swansea Ospreys, extended their lead at the top with a four try display against The Borders at The Gnoll, and ensured their own qualification for the end of season Celtic Cup competition in the process, whilst Simon Taylor collected one of his side’s seven tries as Edinburgh Rugby outgunned Leinster 41-33 at Murrayfield.

The final game of the round saw Munster battle back to thwart Glasgow Rugby and protect their longstanding Thomond Park record with a 25-19 win.
