Wales floored by rampant French
Wales were disrupted by a couple of early changes, but put in a sterling effort against a powerful French team that defeated England. A quality defence by the Welsh ¾s was not enough to stop the constant attack of the Bleus, with notable performances from Catrina Nicholas and Lowri Jones.
Prop Ruth Copeland and scrum half Becky Davies both gained their first caps, replacing Amy Broadstock and Kerry Jenkins respectively. The squad travel to Edinburgh in just under two weeks to play Scotland on the hallowed turf of Murrayfield, with kick-off straight after the men’s international.
