We hear exclusively from Mike Ruddock, as the Wales coach discusses Sir Clive Woodward’s squad selection for the British Lions tour to New Zealand. He reveals his pride at the inclusion of ten Wales players, but admits it would have been nice to see one or two more of his men on the list.

He tells us how tough the tour will be, but also suggests it will be a valuable learning experience for those involved. He also looks ahead to Wales’ tour of North America, and hints there will be a chance for some promising youngsters to shine. He also sets the record straight on his potential involvement with the Lions tour, and insists a backroom role is far from finalised.
