LLANDAFF NORTH 2nds v GWERNYFED LADIES

The opening score come in the first half with winger Cassie Lyons breaking through the defence for a try in the corner. Gwernyfed dominated in the scrum and at the contact area but pressure failed to be turned into points.

The second score come from Kirsty Lewis the Llandaff North No 8 who picked up at the base of the scrum and off loaded to Cassie just before the tackle. Kirsty continued to support and received a pop pass back from winger and crashed over for the try.

The home team were awarded a penalty five meters from the Llandaff North try line and decided to run it. Strong defence from the visitors held and Gwernyfed were denied a score. Sophie Wilkinson Llandaff North’s Fly half continued to push the home side back with some excellent out of hand kicking.

The final score of the game came from a visitors penalty move. Good hands and support through the back line ended up with Centre Stacy Griffiths scoring in the corner. Indiscipline from Llandaff North denied them a fourth try when the ref blew up for an off the ball indecent, just as Cassie once again bust for the line.
