At Stradey Park, 5.30pm
Live on S4C/Setanta Ireland
Referee: Donal Courtney (IRFU)
Gareth Jenkins has announced an unchanged Scarlets starting 15. Following an impressive debut at Rodney Parade last Friday, Academy outside half Ceiron Thomas retains his position at number 10 with Gareth Bowen on the bench.
With Llanelli RFC also in action in the Konica Minolta Cup Final on Saturday, new signing Ricky Davies of Carmarthen Quins finds himself on the bench alongside Steve Thomas of Llandovery. The Ospreys will finalise their team on Friday, but missing alongside Henson will also be Huw Bennett (neck), Andy Lloyd (back) and Sonny Parker (wrist). Ospreys coach Lyn Jones is expecting another fiery encounter between the two sides.
“We have had a strong season in general, but in particular we have enjoyed success against the Scarlets,” Jones said. “Having beaten them twice this season I expect them come out with all guns blazing on Saturday. There has never been any love lost between the sides and it is always a keenly-fought contest.
“We had some concerns at the start of the week that the squad could be a little tired in light of the performance against Ulster. But this week has been exactly the opposite of what we expected and we are fired up and ready for the contest.”
