Williams was one of three Welshmen involved in the 25-25 draw with the Pumas at a packed Millennium Stadium, but speaking before Sir Clive Woodward’s men jetted out to New Zealand, the winger insisted the squad are well prepared for the challenge ahead.
“Its been a tough week and we’ve worked hard to get things right,” he said. “Obviously we were disappointed not to win on Monday but it was important for us to get a game, and an honour for me to wear a Lions shirt. We are just looking forward to touching down in Auckland and getting started now.”
Wales star Williams is hoping to play a big part on the tour and is confident Woodward can lead the Lions to only their second ever test victory over the All Blacks.
“I want to be involved on the tour as much as I can,” he added. “The coach has been great and is certaintly capable of big things with this team.”

Shane Williams is glad to have got some Lions experience under his belt with his first cap against Argentina last Monday evening but says improvement will come after a far from fluid start to the 2005 tour.
