DAVEY CHANGES FIVE FOR SCOTLAND

Club graphic

Wales coach Mike Ruddock is currently in Argentina, watching the U21 performances and will be looking out for good performances against Scotland this evening.

Jamie Roberts starts at full back in place of Ricky Williams while there is a new half-back pairing with Konica Minolta Cup Final man-of-the-match Dai Flanagan coming in at outside-half for Aled Thomas, and Wayne Evans replacing James Ireland. In the pack, Scott Roberts replaces Philip Osbourne at loosehead prop and Adam Powell starts in place of Chris Davies who has picked up a knee injury.

Team manager Wayne Hall said: “We have been incredibly unlucky with injuries in this tournament. This time it is back row Chris Davies who is ruled out of the match with a knee problem but hopefully he will be fit again for our final game next Saturday against either England or Argentina.

“We have made a few changes to the team that was defeated by Argentina. We played well to come back into the game as much as we did on Friday but now we must put some good performances together to try to go out on a high.”
