IRONSIDES LOOKING STRONG

Through fixtures against both new and established sides, the Ironsides has showed a steady improvement all season, playing a forward dominated game focused around a very solid scrum. 

A number of talented players have come to the fore, with Coach Martin Edwards being particularly impressed with the performances of Hayley Jones, Rachel Jones, Hayley Powell, Leanne Penny and Steph Wheeler. 

So far this season, they have played Rhigos, Birchgrove, Waunarlwydd, Gwernyfed and Llandaff North 2nds, with each game proving a step forward.  The side have further fixtures against other clubs including Welshpool and Bala to come, along with a Plate Quarter-final showdown with Cardiff Quins. 

This Sunday (5th), the Ironsides will feature in a local derby against Blaenau Gwent at Crumlin RFC (kick-off 1.30pm).  Any ladies interested in finding out more about the clubs will be more than welcome to come along.
